question for all the previa owners (captains seats mid row)

hello to all. I have a 91 previa le with fix based middle row captains seat. i would like to know if the bases that turn to face the rear seat will bolt into my van. I would be getting them off a 92 previa le. any and all in put would be wounderful. thanks to all

They will not readily fit. The hole pattern in the floor pan is different on the swivels. There may possibly be nut plates welded under the floor metal, but there will not be any holes there.

Re: question for all the previa owners (captains seats mid row)

I was just wondering about this last night when I was cleaning my '91 with quad seating. My 92's both have swivel seating in the second row. I looked on C-list and found a set of swivels for $100. Looking at them, they look identical but now I know they are not. I will now call the seller back and cancel my meeting with him. Not sure why Toyota decided that the '91 would be the odd ball year (fixed captain chairs, different rear A/C control, different speedometer display, no illuminated vanity mirror, no bin under the dash, etc.). Anyway, thanks for the head's up Tim.

No problem. I learned this the hard way. I found & purchased a set of swivel 2nd row seats for my 91 Previa to replace the stationary buckets there. It never occurred to me the hole pattern was not compatible. After removing my old ones & finding this out I decided it wasn't worth the work & tossed the swivels in the dump. I listed on the site "free swivel seats" for over a month with no interest, so off they went. Just happy I can save somebody else from the same mistake. Tim
