    Turn signals won't cancel

I took the steering wheel off to address some headlight wiring issues...

After putting it all back together, the turn signals no longer cancelled themselves coming out of a turn.

I've taken it apart and put it back together about three times now, trying to figure out what I screwed up the first time, and no love.

When I get it apart again, I'll post pictures...

In the meantime, anyone else had this problem?

I'll post what I've done once I post pictures...otherwise it will seem like nonsense...

I have not had that problem with a van, but did have that exact problem with a VW after taking it apart. The trouble proved to be a re-assembly error — I had reversed a part (can't remember if it was upside down or backwards).

I'll post pictures tonight, it will be easier to describe the mechanism with pictures.

As far as I can tell, it can only be put back together one way, but obviously I'm missing something.
