Is rear disc conversion possible?
Sorry if this has been discussed already, I searched around though and didn't find anything. I'm wondering though if a conversion to disc brakes in the rear is possible.
If so would it be a matter of getting the components or are we talking you have to swap the whole rear axle to get it done.
I've just never been a fan of drums, or working on them.

I think that the entire rear axle would need to be part of the swap.

Re: Is rear disc conversion possible?
It's totally possible BUT Without serious fabrication you would need a whole disk rear end. That's what I did. Side by side they are totally different. Even the mounting plates are different. You could engineer a retrofit from some other vehicle but in parts labor and time it's just not worth it. Luckily they are still findable in junkyard but they are starting to get scarce as people that don't care are junking them and people that do are hoarding them. I snapped mine up at the local yard for 120 dollars complete. Then it's just a few hours to swap it out.
Good luck man.
