Hit a Deer, now engine won't start..Fuel shutoff switch? Help!
I hit a Deer on the highway last night going about 70 mph...terrible. The van shutoff shortly after(no overheating though). This morning the engine would turn over, at a normal speed, but would not start. Battery had a hole punched in it from the accident, so I replaced the battery.
A local mechanic looked at it and straightened out the bent hood a bit, no damage to the radiator. After 3 hours of trouble shooting, he could not get the van to start.
The fuel gauge doesn't work anymore, but everything else seems to work ok, other than the engine not starting...seems like this must be a fuel supply or spark issue? Is there an fuel shutoff switch or something that we are missing???
