Broken key

Finally broke the key in this 40 year old relic.
How does one get a replacement?

Take the remnants to the local keyshop / key cutter / locksmith, pay 10 bucks and leave with a new key? Or am I misunderstanding your question? Its not like these have any fancy electronic safety features...

Seems like I had the presence of mind to keep the spare in the key safe 20 years ago.
