Hi again,
Recently took my passenger side engine panel off for the first time to access the fuel filter.

While I was in there I checked out the spark plugs...found a good amount of oil pooled up in the spark plug well. What could be causing this/should I be concerned?

My guess is it's the spark plug tube gaskets.

part number 90430-31003, for the gasket, you need 4
on mine, I needed to replace the tubes as well, someone probably really over tightened the spark plugs at one time (the bottom part where the spark plug threads go trough was twisted off)... part number 11191-22010

What all do I gotta take apart to access these gaskets?

You have to take out the spark plugs.

You have to take out the spark plugs.

:whs: The only thing holding them in is the spark plug. Once the plug is removed you can put your finger in the well and pull it out. The seal will stay on the tube. If the part where the spark plug contacts the tube is okay, then just slide off the old seal and slide the new one on. If the aluminum tube is damaged from overtightened spark plugs, then you'll need a new tube. Tim

How can I tell if it is damaged? Will the tube slide out of the well after I remove the spark plug?

Yes, it will slide right out. They typically get smashed and can fracture right where the spark plug tightens down on it. If the spark plug doesn't get overtightened they last a long time. Tim

Thanks guys I just ordered 0430-31003 & 11191-22010 (x4). He said there are only 15 left in the United States. 11 now.

What is the proper torque spec for the plugs to avoid over-tightening damage? Great pics btw Tim

The service manual calls out 13 ft lbs torque.
