I posted a wanted add for a CC cable, but have a few questions regarding the cruise control cables. I’ll update that post based on info collected here.

For LE manual transmission vans is there a cable to runs to the throttle body (top cable attachment slot) from either the actuator ( left side of drivers floor board) or gas peddle? When I had the engine rebuilt years back I noticed that the cable that used to attach to the throttle body was missing. I tried seeing if it was coiled up somewhere and just inadvertently not attached. Unfortunately no luck. I read through the Toyota repair manual but do not see a diagram of its existence. But I have seen photos of a cable with orange tabs ( the same as I remember my van having prior to the rebuild) on this site. Thanks!

edit: MT vans would not have a cable attached on the top of the throttle body as this is the kick down cable for AT right? I guess my memory failed me.

Ok an update. I am trouble shooting the cruise control system starting with the diagnostic codes. I did not know that the vans had this till I started reading the body electrical section of the repair manual. I think that is super cool, I always love learning something new about the vans. Anyway test NO 3 has me stumped. A few questions here, first what is the Stop Light Switch? Second do I apply the brake, clutch and stop light switch at the same time to retrieve the diagnostic code? I will try to post the images of the repair manual.

That should just be the brake light or stop lamp switch attached to the brake pedal. I've never had cause to look at this in detail but it appears there is a separate cancel switch and brake/stop lamp switch. Sometimes these are a tandem switch meaning it's like two stacked switches in one unit.

Thanks Original, that makes sense.
