Tailights

After weeks of not driving at night, I thought id take to the forums and look for merciful guidance.

I haven't had running tailights in a month now. All indicators, brake lights and reverse lights work. But the running lights do not. I changed the bulbs, checked fuses and wiggled wires and even rewired the plugs behind (and under) the steering wheel. What I did notice today is that the "tail light relay" is hot. Could the switch itself in the relay be stuck? Is this a common problem? Any advice helps.

LD - You need to diagnose the circuit.
A test light and VOM would be beneficial in your task.

Not sure if these attachments will show, but if so, you'll notice a lot of other lights downstream of the taillight relay. If any of those work, keep moving on, the relay is not faulty. The quickest might be the licence plate, radio and heater control panel.
