Hi All,

Lately we have been finding an increasing number of Toyota Vanwagon parts becoming no longer available (NLA). But I have had some luck using alternate parts from other Toyota Models or universal parts made by manufactures like Napa. I did some searching of this site and was not able to find a thread that covers this topic. I would like to propose a thread that members can post the NLA part number and description and the alternate part number and description that was successfully used instead. What do you all think?

For example:

It is not exactly the same. the hole for the bolt is a larger diameter, but you can either use a larger bolt, or a bit of pipe as sleeve.

Wow that’s great! Have you installed them?

Yes, I replaced them. they are exactly the same dimensions as the old ones. I kinda regret not using the bushings for the upper and panhard bar as well from this company, the quality seems better than the Febest ones I used for those.

Description: VALVE ASSY, LOAD SENSING PROPORTIONING
Part Number: 47910-28070 47910-28071

Alternate Part
Description: Valve Assy, Load Sensing Proportioning 2000-2003 Toyota Tundra
Part Number: 47910-34060

I am not absolutely 100% sure. I bought a cheap aftermarket replacement for the 47910-34060 for the tundra, to try, and if not working, pick it apart, and see if I could make a working one out of my old and this new one. But it fit perfectly, and I had the brakes tested on a brake performance test machine, and it passed unloaded and loaded. The reason that I am not 100% sure, is that I cannot compare the performance with a new original one. The old one is 37 years old and needed quite a lot of violence to take off and open up for cleaning. But the new one looks the same, feels the same and just passed the brake test.
this is the one I bought https://www.ebay.com/itm/313301691481 but searching on this part number gives loads of aftermarket options.
