Thoughts on 3.0 1kz?

Hey y’all. I stumbled across a 1995 4WD hiace with a 3.0 1kz turbo diesel.. price seems decent. the van looks like it’s in decent shape 135k miles. I’m just wondering if you guys have any input on the motor. Reliability, Sourcing parts, Heinous to work on, common issues I should expect at 135k miles? I’ll be asking a lot of this van (trips up and down the coast frequently, daily etc). Any input is greatly appreciated.

I had a KZH106 and it was pretty great
12L/100km mileage and AWD (note not a 4wd vehicle)

Watch out for rear suspension hangers as they are first to rot away and the unibody leaves you will little options

Research more on Aus forums as they got the engine there and speak english

I believe they do have an issue of cracking heads so use in cold environments maybe not recommended

Did you get it? I just got a 1996 with an 1KZ-TE motor.
