Van won’t start ran just fine.

I have an 85 2wd 3ye engine auto.
van was running good except one spark plug wire wouldn’t sit in the plug so I lost spark sometimes so I decided to just change the cap and wires since I haven’t done that yet easy fix. Now the van won’t start.
It does have spark in all wires, it’s getting fuel. It will turn over for awhile kinda sputter a little bit then when it actually try’s to start it kills itself and won’t turn over anymore so I have to back the key off try again and repeat.
The van has done this everytime I replaced anything on it and I don’t know why. Never had a vehicle that didn’t like new parts.
I will have all day Saturday to try any advice I can get. thank you.

I kinda think it’s a timing issue but I’m not sure and I don’t know why changing the cap would affect that but if someone could add a link or pics here how to check the timing I would appreciate it.

I'd double check the wires and make sure their in correct order? I'm guilty of putting them back in the wrong sequence and when I turned the key it would try to attempt to fire up and die immediately.
I looked at the wires on my 2nd van and realized I mixed them up :doh:

any chance you can attach a photo of the firing order so I can double check it. Not finding anything on here.
