I have an odd issue and unfortunately do not have access to a complete wiring diagram for my 1985 2wd van.
There is a valve under the front of my van, 88690-28010 "magnet valve". This is supposed to open the freon line when the A/C button is pushed. The rear A/C valve is working and my rear A/C is ice cold.
I disconnected the plug at the valve and checked for power and ground. It has power, but does not have ground. I suspect there is a bad relay somewhere, but without a complete woring diagram for the A/C system I cannot trace it.
I also have Christmas lights on the dash. I just replaced a mystery relay behind the glove box because it was clicking randomly. I also replaced my alternator. Neither of these solved the dash lights nor the A/C issue, though my clicking relay seems to be fixed.
Anyone with any experience with this? I know I can just ground the valve and it will likely work, but I don't think that is the safe fix and I'm hoping the true fix also fixes the dash lights...
