So I was driving my 85 van back home in a rain storm and left my lights on over night. This of course drained the battery, and the next morning I jumped it the van would crank but not start. This happened once before but it was because my friend accidentally hit the fuse box while I was driving. Things I checked so far:
1. There is a nice blue spark
2. Compression is around 150
3. Fuses and fusible links are good.
4. Injectors are ticking at least one and two
5. Fuel pressure to the fuel rail is good.
6. Jumped the fuel pump and its running well.
7. Air filter is dry and clean

I have a new battery and the spark plugs, wires, and distributor cap are less than a year and a half old. I sprayed ignition fluid and it still wouldn't fire. I would assume that the timing is right because the car sounds normal when you crank it and the compression is good.

I finally had to get it towed to a mechanic and he has also been having trouble trying to diagnose it as well. My next guess would be the ignition coil but I am a newbie when it comes to this. ??Maybe water got in somewhere where it wasn't supposed to be?? or ??the dead battery did something funky to the electrics?? I am lost and I think the mechanic is too (he has been at it for 3 hours). Any suggestions are greatly appreciated thank you!!! Photo just for fun.

Have a look at this thread-

https://www.toyotavantech.com/forum/showthread.php?126-Click-No-Start-(Starter-Ignition-Switch-and-other-Culprits)&highlight=crank+won%27t+start

Also in that thread theres a redirect to the Fusible Link thread, you may want to review those threads and see if the answer is in one of them, if not you can also try the search feature and type in a few key words and scroll thru the threads that are similar to your symptoms.

Good luck
