84 Van shocks.

I have a 1984 van with 84k miles looks like the shocks have been replaced. The ride is bone jarring rough and bouncey. I had an 88 years ago and don't remember it this bad . was going to have the shocks replaced . Do you think it will help and if so any suggestions for a particular brand and model shock. Is the 84 suspension a lot different then the 88?

I have an 84 and I recently replaced my shocks with the KYB option off Rock Autos website and the ride is so much better. My shocks were also totally shot and dead when I pulled them out.
