Freeze plugs (4Y block)

I had a few freeze plugs disappeared over night. They look threaded but Autozone gave me small ones that are not threaded and don't really fit.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Can you post pics of the holes in question? as the saying goes a pic is worth 1000 words and so far your're a bit short of that so far.
