My fusible think at near the battery is getting super hot and frying/smoking. What causes that?

Also my guess is that maybe my starter is drawing too much power? I’ve had problems from time to time with it, so I ordered a new one. But would that cause this problem?

B5C - You MUST learn to use the search function!

There are absolutely pages and pages on fusible links, where they are, how to fix them and what to look for.
Everything you seek is there, I promise

Hey thanks. Problem is I can’t find anything when I search on the site itself but I figured out that I can search it on google and the toyotavantech link to that particular subject will pop up. The search function on this site isn’t working right for me here.

I swapped out my fusible links on a number of vans with ANL fuses. YMMV, but it's worked out for me.
