Engine not cranking. Lights on dash, not fusable link, already had that problem. Has my starter failed? Charged up battery, tried jumping... nothing. What do you think?

does the starter click? if not probably damaged ignition signal wire (black with yellow stripe) and or voltage drop. If the starter clicks maybe bad starter. Installing an auxiliary relay will resolve the voltage drop.

Thank you. That’s a start... no pun intended :LOL2:

Should I look for the ignition signal wire under the steering wheel?

Great news! I inspected my whole electric pathway to the starter and noticed nothing corroded or wrong along the way. I got underneath and banged on the starter with a hammer while my buddy cranked. It fired right up! And has started every time since! Always excited for a successful solution when it doesn’t cost any money :)

Probably starter contacts. If so, this problem will likely come back. Usually cycling the key to the start position over and over will get it to crank but eventually(When your in the worst possible location or situation)it just won't work anymore. They're cheap and easy to replace and here (http://www.toyotavantech.com/forum/content.php?229-Re-Ignition-switch-question.)is an article discussing it.

I just followed that thread to replace my starter contacts. Was such a great and cost-effective solution. Super stoked.
