Front door compatibility 84/89

Will the front doors from an 84 fit an 89 4x4?

The information I have (second hand, haven't done it myself) is that all the van year doors are interchangeable, but the electronics (for power windows and power door locks) are not identical and will require some level of reworking. Manual locks/windows won't have this issue, of course.

Thanks! Put the doors on and they fit perfectly. Swapped the locks too.
